Industrial Tube Fittings Specifications:

Pipe Fittings

Pipe fittings perform many functions in hydraulic systems, and their design reflects their varied roles. SSP produces three series of instrumentation and industrial pipe fittings, including the following components:

Adapters: Adapters make it possible to join pipes of different types. Adapters allow users to easily extend a run by joining available pipes. They can also be used at the end of a pipe to change the connection type.
Bushings:Bushings offer a space-effective way to join pipes of different diameters and thread sizes.
Caps and Plugs: Both caps and plugs cover the end of a pipe. Plugs, however, are usually threaded and fit inside the pipe to close it off. Caps are more varied and may be threaded, glued, or soldered over the outside of the pipe.
Couplings: The term "couplings" encompasses a range of connectors that extend a run of pipes by joining two sections together. They are available in threaded and unthreaded varieties, and there are options for both similar and dissimilar pipe sizes.
Crosses: Crosses take their name from their four-way shape, which may comprise either three inlet ports and one outlet port or one inlet port and three outlet ports. In this way, they can either accept multiple fluid sources or direct fluid in multiple directions, depending on the application.
Elbows: Elbows are simple, angular connections that change the direction of fluid flow.
Flanges: Flanges are heavy-duty threaded or welded connectors used to join pipes. Typically, a connection uses two flanges that are bolted together.
Nipples: A nipple is a short, straight connector with male threading on both ends. They are used with straight pipe runs and work well with tight connections.
Traps: Traps are used to create curved bends in horizontal pipe runs. The resulting P-shaped or U-shaped bend prevents debris or odor from flowing back down the pipe system.
Tees: Tees are T-shaped connectors that join three pipe branches. Both straight and reducing options are available, depending on the diameters of the involved pipes.
Unions: Unions are used instead of couplings when the pipes are hard-to-reach or when the system has a non-standard configuration. They are easier to install in these applications, using a nut to secure the connection rather than threading.

Weld Fittings

Hose Fittings

SSP's hydraulic hose fittings are made from 316 Stainless Steel, with some available in Monel. Push-on fittings are also made from 316 Stainless Steel. For more demanding applications, Teflon fittings are available to order.

Stainless Steel Tubing - Straight Length

SSP stainless steel tubing is a safe, convenient, and durable option for instrumentation tubing applications. These products feature thin walls and adhere to strict tolerances to ensure leak-free operation even at high working pressures. They are most useful in fluid transfer and pressure containment systems.
